If heat, chemicals, solvents, corrosion, toxicity, flammability, compatibility, service life, or ozone depletion are some of your lubrication problems, Fomblin® PFPE lubricants are your solution.
Fomblin lubricants outperform others because they offer these critical properties:
Chemical, solvent, thermal, electrical resistant
Compatibility with metal, plastic, elastomers, and rubber
Non-flammable, non-toxic
Wide operating temperature range
Low evaporation loss
Easily formulated into greases
Zero ozone depletion potential (ODP)
No volatile organic chemicals (non-VOC)
While Fomblin lubricants can be used in their original form, they are often formulated into greases for specific applications in the chemical, electronic, military, nuclear, semiconductor, and other industries in need of high performance lubrication. Fomblin meets the FM6930 standard for industrial fluids.
Fomblin PFPE greases are thick, homogeneous, white lubricants derived by thickening Fomblin fluids with tetrafluoroethylene telomers, silicates, etc. They are compatible with all materials such as glass, metals, elastomers, plastics, and ceramics. Fomblin greases may be used in the presence of water, oils, vapors, and with all organic substances which are not highly fluorinated.
Fomblin greases may be formulated for specific applications or to provide unique properties. Some examples are low noise, corrosion resistance, and temperature extremes.
