Hyflon PFA is a semi-crystalline melt processable perfluoropolymer which offers the highest temperature rating, and broadest chemical resistance of all melt processable fluoropolymers. Hyflon PFA is an ideal choice for extreme thermal and chemical environments. Hyflon PFA products are classified in accordance with ASTM D3307. Three subfamilies of Hyflon PFA are available: the P series, the M series, and the F series.
Hyflon P and Hyflon M have the highest melt point, exceptional thermal stress crack resistance, and the best mechanical properties for performance at high temperatures among the Hyflon polymers. They meet UL 758 recognition for continuous use at 250° C.
Hyflon F is a unique new family of polymers with a lower melt point, exceptional stress crack resistance, high flex life, and continuous service temperatures up to 225°C. It has been specifically designed using MFA Technology to be a surperior FEP replacement.
P Series
Higher melting point
Ideal for tubing, fittings, valve and tank linings, tower packing, fittings, film
M Series
Ideal for tubing, fittings, valve and tank linings, tower packing, fittings, film
Intrinsic processing stability
Improved surface smoothness
Higher transmittance value resulting in improved clarity
F Series
FEP replacement
High flex life life
Better stress crack resistance than FEP
