Solvay Solexis offers a diverse group of fully and partially fluorinated melt processable polymers. Hyflon MFA and PFA are semi-crystalline, fully-fluorinated melt processable fluoropolymers which offer the highest temperature rating, and broadest chemical resistance of all melt processable fluoropolymers. Solef® PVDF, Hylar® PVDF, and Halar® ECTFE are partially fluorinated melt processable polymers. Both groups offer the advantages of high temperature endurance, outstanding chemical resistance, purity, excellent fire propagation resistance and weathering resistance. All are readily processable by conventional conversion techniques such as injection-, compression-, and roto-molding as well as extrusion.
Solvay Solexis fluoropolymers have a history of success as molded, shaped, and extruded products including pipe, monofilament, rod, tubing, wire and cable insulation, pumps, valves, and filter cartridges and are available as non-woven fiber for filter media and composite laminates.
Selecting a fluoropolymer material for any given application will involve a review of many factors, some of which focus on the process conditions and others on the suitability of the material for that particular application. Contact your Solvay Solexis representative for a technical discussion on which fluoropolymer will suit your needs.
