Solvay Solexis offers the Galden® PFPE line of fluorinated fluids. Their chemical structure contains only carbon, fluorine, and oxygen. Galden® fluids are high performance, inert fluids characterized by:
High thermal stability
The highest boiling point among fluorinated fluids
Good dielectric properties
Excellent chemical inertness
Good compatibility with metals, plastics, and elastomers
No flash or fire point, no auto-ignition point
Safety
Markets and Applications
Typical industries served by Galden® fluids are semiconductor, electronic, cleaning, carriers for fluorinated lubricants, solar, CPI, batteries, and food.
Heat transfer: Galden® HT is a line of dielectric fluids with boiling points ranging from 55° C to 270° C which can virtually reach, with its new family of Galden® Ultra High Boilers, no boiling point.Galden® UHBs' excellent dielectric properties, high chemical stability combined with their capacity to operate at very low as well as elevated temperatures make them the best heat transfer fluids for the aggressive conditions found in semiconductor, electronic, and solar industries.
Electronic reliability testing: non-reactivity, excellent dielectric properties, low toxicity, non-flammability, and non-solvent features make Galden® D electronic fluids suitable for electronic reliability testing including thermal shock and hermetic seal testing.
Vapor phase soldering: the narrow molecular weight distribution as well as the very strong carbon-fluorine bond and the flexible ether link provide the properties which make Galden® LS/HS ideal for use in VPS.
Solvent: Galden® SV fluids are low molecular weight perfluoropolyether fluids used for cleaning operations where solvents are:
Applied to hot components
Heated prior to application
Pressure sprayed onto components
New! The new family of Galden® Ultra High Boilers focuses on high temperatures thanks to fluids with boiling points above 230° C without any pressue build-up. After a pre-commercialization phase of evaluations and approvals by major chiller OEMs, Galden® UHBs are now ready to serve the market.
