In fact, Halar® ECTFE was the first fluoropolymer coating to gain approval and listing under FM 4922 for Fume/Smoke Exhaust Duct Systems. Approved by FM Global for use in fume and smoke exhaust systems, without sprinklers, Halar® ECTFE coated ductwork combines the toughness of stainless steel with the corrosion resistance of fluoropolymers. Additionally, these systems outperform plastic and FRP duct with improved safety and corrosion resistance. The ultra-smooth surface of Halar® coatings reduces or eliminates the build-up of salt deposits and debris that can reduce airflow.
