Protective linings in reactors and tanks fabricated with fluorinated plastics (Halar® ECTFE, Solef® PVDF, Hylar® PVDF, Hyflon® PFA/MFA®, Algoflon® PTFE) provide excellent resistance to extreme chemicals and temperatures. Depending on the size and geometry of the part, the corrosion-resistant lining is applied by powder coating, sheet lining, extruded lining, rotational lining or FRP dual laminate. Dual laminate construction, employing a variety of fluoropolymers as an integral component to the fiber reinforced plastic (FRP), is available for large diameter pipe, scrubbing towers, and even in pressure-rated reaction vessels.
