Solef® PVDF membranes are currently made with varying degrees of porosity and manufacturing methods for use in water purification, foodstuffs dehydration, filtration of chemicals, biosubstrates, battery separators and fuel cell membranes.
Algoflon® PTFE is virtually immune to chemical attack over a wide temperature range, does not have any known solvent, and is nonflammable (limiting Oxygen Index > 95). Due to its very low critical surface energy, Algoflon PTFE is also highly water repellent. In particular, some specially designed Algoflon DF powders can be used for the production of expanded PTFE membranes with the porosity required by the final application.
