Solvay Solexis fluoropolymer resins are used extensively in the plenum wire and cable industry. Solef® PVDF, Halar® ECTFE, and Hyflon MFA® offer excellent electrical properties that remain consistent and sustain performance within an extreme temperature range. In addition, and of highest importance, each compliment the “all-fluoropolymer” design criteria with regard to fire and smoke plenum requirements.
Algoflon® PTFE has outstanding chemical inertness in aggressive environments, thermal resistance, electrical properties, and non-stick characteristics in a wide range of temperature from cryogenic to 260°C. Additionally, Algoflon® PTFE is nonflammable (limiting Oxygen Index > 95). These properties make Algoflon® PTFE the ideal material for many critical applicatioins. In particular, Algoflon® DF powders are especially suited for over-cable jacketing applications and primary conductor insulation.
