Galden® PFPE and H-Galden® fluids are ideal for use as heat transfer media in the manufacture of pharmaceuticals. Galden® heat transfer (HT) fluids offer a wide operating temperature range, thus a single fluid can be used to operate at low and high temperatures, increasing operation flexibility and eliminating the need (and expense) of a second operating temperature system. Galden® HT fluids also offer safety in use, posing no fire or explosion hazards that eliminate the need for explosion-proof components and rooms. Galden® fluids are chemically inert, non-toxic, and do not deplete the ozone.
Fluoropolymers for Solvay Solexs Solef® PVDF, Halar® ECTFE, and Hyflon® PFA, and Algoflon® PTFE are extruded or molded into pipes, valves, pumps and fittings for use in pharmaceutical and high purity process equipment where high purity and excellent temperature and chemical resistance are required. Small pieces can economically be made entirely of fluoropolymers. Extruded or molded components include tubes, pipes, hose, column packing, pumps, valves, fittings, gaskets, and expansion joints.
